GABRIEL ARGATE

Actor — Singer — Producer

Hi! Nice to meet you!

My name is Gabe - I am a proud Filipino performer based in the New Jersey/NYC area. Welcome to my humble abode (this website, of course).

Aside from being a passion, I view performing as an opportunity to represent the vibrant communities I am a part of: Asian American, plus-sized, and LGBTQ+. You can say I’m a triple threat.

As powerful as claiming these identities is, there is more to me than being a combination of marginalized groups. On an individual level, I have been described as warm, quick-witted, authentic, and bold. These attributes are a part of the identity I want people to also see - a meaningful one that surpasses the superficiality of appearance and celebrates the value of character.

“What’s new with little ol’ me?”

UPCOMING

OCTOBER 2025

In celebration of Filipino American Heritage Month, I am producing and singing in “Filipinos on Broadway” at 54 Below! Representation matters, which is why I wanted to produce a show that gives the spotlight to a community I am truly proud to be a part of. The concert will feature an all-Filipino cast of Broadway performers and up-and-coming artists: an unforgettable night of beloved music and remarkable talent!

RECENT

JUNE 2025

Took a trip down memory lane performing in ASNJ’s production of Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical! From cult classic film to musical parody, I had a blast singin’ and thrashin’ to throwback hits such as “Kiss Me,” “Sunday Morning,” and “Bye, Bye, Bye.” It was also really cool to be involved with a brand new professional theatre company, and I cannot wait to see the incredible things ASNJ does in the future!

MAY 2025

This past spring, I was given the opportunity to be a part of Healing Voices: Caregiver Stories on Stage presented at McCarter Theatre. Every year, McCarter receives hundreds of stories, poems, and other personal writings about caregiving, and selected pieces are performed in a special reading by professional actors. I was so honored to bring to life some of the most moving pieces regarding the caregiver experience.
